What are Interactive Voice Experience messages?

IVEX, or Interactive Voice Experience, messages are preplanned and scheduled. There are two types of IVEX messages: Onboarding IVEX and Scheduled IVEXs. With our Interactive Voice Experience tool, fleets send safety reminders, onboard new drivers, and plan the delivery of operational-related communications.

Two types of IVEXs

Onboarding IVEXs

With Onboarding IVEXs, a fleet can design and record their onboarding process for new drivers. Each new driver will receive messages on set days after they are added to Ten5. With the capability to fully customize Onboarding IVEXs, a fleet could set up any frequency of messages during the first xx days.  This could be weekly, biweekly, monthly, or any other combination that works best for your fleet. We've scripted an example 90 day Onboarding IVEX that you can take a look at here.

Scheduled IVEXs

The second type, Scheduled IVEXs, enables fleets to connect with their drivers in a preplanned way. Record safety tips, mental health advice, fleet updates, and much more. All can be scheduled and sent to drivers on a specific day and time.

IVEX best practices

  1. Have a fleet executive send an IVEX. This shows that upper level management is thinking about the drivers and gives them a chance to connect.
  2. Try to make it natural, but feel free to use a script if needed. Remember, this is an innovative way to interact with your drivers.
  3. Always end the message with an invitation do respond. For example, "I'll be listening to all responses from this message. If you have any thoughts, comments, or questions, reply back. We want to hear from you."
